Worldline pricing
A short guide explaining the pricing model of our payment solution provider, Worldline.
Worldline is the payment provider on our payment system.
Worldline pays money to your specified account daily.
Explaining the pricing model from Worldline.
To obtain the best prices for credit card /debit card cost we have made an agreement with Worldline, on a model called Interchange++.
This model is based on the so-called “Interchange fees” which are official on the e.g., Mastercard and VISA homepages. So instead of having a fixed price for each card type, the pricing is more flexible. This way we can have better pricing. but it’s not as logical as the pricing models you know.
When you check the price table in” Worldline Order Form – Subscription Acquiring Unattended”, you will notice a rate of 1,65%. This is an average rate Worldline has calculated for a typical club based on the information we have given to Worldline about average transaction amount size and different card types. This rate will be prepaid to Worldline –then, monthly, Worldline will send a statement about the correct percentage, and either return the amount overpaid or ask for extra money if a too small amount has been prepaid.
Your real price is based on three elements:
1. Fixed price (0.01 € pr transaction) + variable price (0,70%) (This is the remuneration given to Worldline)
2. Interchange fee (fixed and %) (This is the remuneration for the banks)
3. Scheme fee (fixed and %) (This is the remuneration for Mastercard/Visa)
